Hubble Dwarf Galaxy IC 3430
Dwarf galaxy IC 3430, as captured by NASA / ESA’s Hubble Space Telescope, may be smaller than others, but the hundreds of seemingly miniature galaxies in the background prove otherwise. This galaxy is located 45 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Virgo and part of the Virgo cluster, a rich collection of galaxies ranging in sizes, many of which are very similar in type to this diminutive galaxy.

Hubble NGC 4656 Hockey Stick Galaxy
NASA / ESA’s Hubble Space Telescope has captured a spectacular image of NGC 4656, which has been nicknamed the Hockey Stick Galaxy, located 30 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Canes Venatici. The name comes from the galaxy’s elongated, warped stick shape that stretches out through space until it curls around at one end to form a striking imitation of a cosmic hockey stick.
