NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope uses infrared version to peer through the dusty star-forming region known as NGC 1333, located 967 light-years from Earth in the Perseus constellation. More specifically, it used its Near Infrared Camera (NIRCam) to capture this image, as this allows the telescope to cover the infrared wavelength range 0.6 to 5 microns.
