Forget standard hard drives, the rice grain-sized Poxiao is being touted as the world’s fastest flash memory, developed by researchers at Fudan University in China. It’s capable of erasing and rewriting data in just 400 picoseconds (one-trillionth of a second). That’s 100,000 times quicker than regular flash memory, breaking speed limits nobody thought could be beaten.

Looking Glass Factory 27" Light Field Display 5K
Looking Glass Factory just showed off their new 27″ Light Field Display, which has a super sharp 5K picture and 3D visuals you can see without glasses, feeling real and wrap-around without needing headsets or trackers. It uses their special light field tech to show up to 100 different views of a 3D scene at once, so everyone watching gets a slightly different angle depending on where they stand, kind of like looking at real objects.

HydraJet Hydroplaning Boat
HydraJet is a small, radio-controlled (RC) hydroplaning boat made by CovaConcepts, a new startup run by Tamara, an inventor with a background in aerospace engineering. This isn’t your usual RC boat—it’s a hydroplane, which means it glides fast across the water’s top, not like hydrofoils that lift up using fins below. It’s kind of a mix between a hydroplane and an airboat because of its innovative way of propulsion.
